Who We Are

At Haven Financial Services, we have built a culture that walks the walk on respecting work life balance. When the company was built in 2014, the idea was to get away from the corporate mentality of the eight to five grind. Rather we understood that high value service can be provided in a fluid form which aligns with the creative owners we work with. 

We have learned to build systems that allow us to stay lean and focused and intend to keep it that way. We have a team that completely supports each other, enjoys collaboration, and kicks butt during our team games each month. 

The idea was to build a company with people that deliver good work and are also awesome human beings to work with. The outcome can’t be beat.

Khristine

Khristine Valdez

Founder & CEO

Khristine launched Haven Financial Services as she saw a need for Executive and Management accounting services from the local companies in Orange County and built a company that focuses on a high quality of financial service. Previously, Khristine was a CFO for Sail Venture Partners, Teles Properties and the McMonigle Group. Khristine was also a CPA providing tax and audit services, primarily in the Real Estate and Non-Profit Industries. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Cal State Fullerton, and obtained her CPA license in Wisconsin. In her free time she enjoys movies with her family, golf, tennis and music.

Amy Perez

Operations Manager

Amy graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor’s Degree, and a minor in Marketing. Prior to joining the Haven team, she held positions at Epson America, Inc. and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Headquarters, in the Marketing Department. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and two sons. She also likes to swim, bike and run.

Sanjana Kothari

Senior Accountant

Sanjana is an experienced Chartered Accountant with five years of extensive work across various sectors, including real estate, e-commerce, and construction. Her previous roles as Virtual CFO, Assistant Controller, and Accounting Manager have sharpened her abilities in financial analysis, bookkeeping, and comprehensive financial management. Skilled in software like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, and Odoo, she excels in tasks ranging from payroll to complex financial reconciliations. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, traveling, and exploring new places.

MaryAnn Arcenal

Internal Staff Accountant

Mary Ann Arcenal is a seasoned accountant with over 14 years of experience in accounting, finance, and property management. She has excelled in roles such as Accounting Manager at Stapleton Group and Assistant Manager at PA Alvarez Properties & Development Inc., where she managed financial operations and demonstrated expertise in loan processing, accounting, and financial analysis.
Mary Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from AMA Computer College and has completed 18 units toward a Master’s in Business Administration. Proficient in accounting software like QuickBooks and Yardi, she is known for her systematic approach, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive under pressure. Her attention to detail and commitment to accuracy make her a valuable asset in any financial environment.

Regine Velado

Staff Accountant

Regine is a graduate of Accountancy from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and a Certified Public Accountant. With seven years of experience across diverse industries, Regine developed expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and general accounting. Regine’s previous roles as an Accounting Assistant, Accounting Supervisor, and Senior Accountant have further deepened her skills and ability to work under pressure. Outside of work, Regine enjoys anime, K-pop, K-drama, C-drama, and spending time with her pets.

Gennie Babe Cabrera

Staff Accountant

Gennie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in Financial and Management Accounting. She began her career in the manufacturing and merchandising industry, where she worked for 11 years. Seeking new challenges, she transitioned to freelancing and collaborates with US companies. In her free time, Gennie enjoys spending time with her family and playing with her pets.

Jan Romero

Staff Accountant

Jan is a graduate of Ateneo de Davao University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. While still an undergrad, she worked for an automotive company, where she worked closely with the controller, laying a strong foundation in internal accounting practices. After earning her degree, she joined an accounting firm in Oregon, where she managed books for businesses across different industries and became a Senior Accountant. Outside of work, Jan enjoys reading, listening to music, and loves spending quality time with her family.

Relationship Coordinator

Sandy is a seasoned professional with 14 years of experience in Sales, Customer Service, and Administrative Operations. Her diverse skill set and dedication to excellence have made her a valuable asset in every role she’s undertaken. Outside of work, Sandy finds joy at the beach, where she loves to unwind and recharge. She also has a keen interest in true crime and paranormal documentaries, often exploring the intriguing stories behind them.

Vanesa Gaviola

Staff Accountant

Vanesa is originally from the Philippines and graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a degree in Accountancy. After graduating she joined an Accounting and Auditing Firm for more than 6 years, where she was able to handle PEZA companies. She passed the Civil Service Examination and obtained the Certified Tax Technician, QuickBooks Pro-Advisor and Xero Advisor Certification. Also, she previously worked as a Senior Associate in a BPO and outsourcing company where she was able to work with international clients. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and series with family, reading books, drawing, and singing.

Rachel

Rachel Erin Flores

Staff Accountant

Erin graduated from Tomas Del Rosario College with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduating, she obtained her CPA license in the Philippines. She held a contractual position in a government agency to aid ITs from Technecrest team in implementing a software to be primarily used by the agency in their end-to-end accounting process. Prior to joining the Haven team, she worked as a Senior CPA in a BPO company where she provided outsourced accounting services to SMEs and handled multiple accounts for-profit and nonprofit entities. In her free time, she enjoys family bonding, playing with her pets and outdoor activities.
